UBS Warburg strengthens equity sales and trading team

UBS brings in four new hires to strengthen operations in Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.

UBS Warburg has boosted its Asian equity and sales trading business with the announcement of four new hires; two of whom will be based in Hong Kong, one in Korea and one in Taiwan.

Marlon Sanchez joins the bank from Goldman Sachs to take up the position of director in the sales trading team. Based in Hong Kong, Sanchez will report to Scott Saunders, head of sales trading for Asia.

Wee Liang Sin, formerly an assistant manager at DBS Asset Management, has been appointed associate director on the Hong Kong trading desk. Sin reports to CJ Beshke, head of Asian trading in his new role.

Jangwook Lee will assume the role of associate director on the Korean sales desk, where he reports to Michael Chin, head of regional sales. He joins UBS from Meritz Securities in Seoul.

Last but not least, David Tsung-Kun Liu, has been appointed as associate director for the sales and trading team in Taiwan. Liu, who previously worked as a senior sales trader at Indosuez WI Carr Securities in Taipei, will report to Francis Yu, head of equities in Taiwan.
