Big names from some of Japan's most famous institutional investors joined the debate in Tokyo on March 15 as AsianInvestor hosted its 7th annual Japan Institutional Investment Forum. 

To kick off the day, Hiromichi Mizuno, chief investment officer at the Government Pension Investment Fund, gave a keynote interview, setting out his views on topics such as the importance of preventing systemic capital market failure, his disappointment with the attitude of passive fund managers to stewarsdship reforms and the rationale behind GPIF's new fee structure.

Meanwhile Okimori Kosuke, CIO of the pension fund at food manufacturer Kewpie, set out his plans for increasing allocations to alternatives.
