New talent for Salomon Smith Barney Singapore and Malaysia

Salomon Smith Barney has appointed Stephen Weller as director and head of Malaysia Research, to be based in Malaysia, and Tsan Suang Eng as director and Singapore/Malaysia property research analyst, to be based in Singapore.

Weller and Tsan, who were both previously with ABN Amro in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively, will report to Otto Wong, managing director and head of Asia Pacific Research. Commenting on the appointments Wong says: "These appointments further demonstrate Salomon Smith Barney's positive outlook for and long term commitment to both the Malaysian and Singaporean markets."

Weller has also previously worked in Malaysia for over seven years with Jardine Fleming Securities. For the last three of those years he was the Malaysian strategist and head of research.

Tsan has over 13 years experience with the Singapore property market, including nine as a Singaporean property analyst.
