ING appoints new Singapore research head

Soong Tuck Yin returns to his former firm.

ING Financial Markets has named Soong Tuck Yin as director and head of equity research for Singapore. He will lead all ING's Singapore companies coverage as well as country research and product strategy platform. He will report to Adrian Faure, ING's head of equity research for Asia.

Yin is in fact not a stranger to ING, he worked for Baring Securities as an equity analyst in Singapore from 1991 to 1994, covering property and banking sectors. Prior to rejoining the bank, he was the director research at ABN Amro in Singapore, where he focused on the property and media sectors. Not a stranger at ING,

Commenting on Yin's appointment, Faure says: "We are pleased to welcome Tuck back to ING. His experience and knowledge of the Singaporean Equity Market is key to our strategy of providing a comprehensive research platform, which is sector-led and country-based."
