Deutsche Bank grows cross border debt capital markets team

Sean Liu joins the team as a vice president.

Liu comes to Deutsche from Lehman Brothers where he had spent just over a year running a roughly eight-strong credit origination team following the transfer of his long-time colleague and former boss Glenn Kim to London.

At Deutsche he will report to Michael Luk, who is head of cross border debt capital markets (G3 funding) and came to the German bank in 2001 from Salomon Smith Barney.

The cross border team comes under the wider umbrella of DCM, which is overseen by two co-heads CH Tee and Rahul Mukherjee, with Paul Smith running bond and loan syndication.

Commenting on the new appointment Tee says,"we're pleased to welcome Sean to our team. His contributions will no doubt prove invaluable to Deutsche Bank's increasingly active and successful cross-border funding activities in the region."
