Deutsche appoints new head of equity research

Richard Iwan Jones replaces Brian Nolan.

Deutsche Bank has appointed a new head of Asian equity research following the transfer of Brian Nolan, who is to build up the bank's global relationship management function for the Asia Pacific region.

Jones joins from ING Barings in Hong Kong where he was head of Asian sector/country research. Having been at Barings since 1990 when he joined as an investment analyst, Jones has also spent time in Singapore as head of research.

Now based in Hong Kong, Jones will report to Ed Peter, head of global equities Asia (ex-Japan) and Russell Duckworth, global head of equities research. Commenting on the appointment Duckworth says, "We are delighted to have recruited Richard, who will help to take our research and Asian equities franchise to the next level."
