ABN Amro appoints new head of Asian credit research

Bank continues expansion of Asian DCM business with hire of Lanny Lim.

ABN AMRO has announced the appointment of Lanny Lim as head of Asian credit research for the bank's global business markets group. Lim, formerly of Deutsche Bank where he led a team of credit analysts, will focus on Asian credits issued and traded in local bond markets.

Based in Singapore, Lim will report to Julia Peach, global head of credit research at ABN AMRO. Lim's hire is one of many made by the bank recently as it seeks to re-build its Asian debt market franchise.

Other notable additions include Swaroop Rasik Patel, formerly at JP Morgan, as director of Asian debt markets origination in Hong Kong, Anup Kuruvilla departing Citigroup to assume the post of group vice-president of Asian debt markets origination in Singapore and Stephen Laughton, latterly of CSFB, to the newly created position of deputy head of trading in Tokyo.
