Shvets returns to Deutsche to head telecoms research

Viktor Shvets has been appointed managing director and head of telecommunications research, Asia-Pacific, at Deutsche Bank - rejoining the firm where he previously spent almost five years covering the airlines and telecommunications sectors.

Shvets left Deutsche, and Asia, in June last year for a short stint with DLJ in London where he headed their European telecoms research team. He'll now be based in Hong Kong overseeing telecoms analysts throughout Asia and Australia.

In 1999, while still at Deutsche, Shvets was named the No. 1 Airline Analyst in Asia and the No. 2 Telecom Analyst in Asia by Institutional Investor.

"We are delighted that Viktor has decided to rejoin Deutsche Bank," says Will Hamilton, Head of Deutsche Bank Global Equities, Asia, upon announcing the appointment. "Viktor’s appointment gives us an undeniable edge and we now boast the highest quality telecommunications research team in the market."
