Robeco loses global head of financial institutions

Robeco’s global head of financial institutions (GFI), Nick Shaw, left the Dutch fund house on June 15 to pursue other career opportunities.

Until a successor is appointed, his duties will be taken over by Christoph von Reiche, global head of distribution and marketing, for the GFI business and by UK head Peter Walsh for the UK wholesale business, a spokesman told AsianInvestor by email.

Shaw’s remit had included Asia, and AsianInvestor could not ascertain where he might be heading next.

Von Reiche joined Robeco in the role in November, and was previously head of Europe institutional business at JP Morgan Asset Management in London.

Shaw had joined Robeco as head of global key account management in October 2014.

Before that, he spent nine years at Aberdeen Asset Management where he was head of business development for financial institutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was also country head for Switzerland during his six years in Zurich.

Before working at Aberdeen Asset Management, Shaw was a fund analyst with Société Générale in Guernsey.

Robeco has Asian offices in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.
