Goldman Sachs hires new head of Taiwan Research

Goldman Sachs has appointed Justin Leverenz to the newly created position of Head of Taiwan Research.

Leverenz will be based in Taipei with responsibility for covering all research efforts in Taiwan and co-ordinating with the regional strategy team. He will also cover selected Technology stocks.

Paul Bernard, Director of Asia Pacific Research says that the creation of this new role, "is another important step in the continuing build out of our Taiwan research platform and the expansion of our research coverage."

In his most recent job, Leverenz departed from the financial sector holding a management position at Lightwave solutions, a privately held communications technology firm. Prior to this, however he was back in the fold as head of Taiwan equities research at Credit Suisse First Boston.
