Deutsche appoints Japanese equities head
Deutsche Securities appoints Katsushiro Ashizawa as Head of Global Equities for Japan.
Ashizawas recruitment is part of the firms effort to strengthen its equity franchise in Japan. He will be responsible for all equity sales, trading, derivatives, and research activities in Tokyo.
Our bolstered equity operations are creating synergies with our debt and investing banking teams to bring truly best-practice financial solutions to our domestic and global clientele, says John T. Macfarlane, Chief Country Officer in Japan.
Ashizawa joins Deutsche from Morgan Stanley Japan, where he served as a Managing Director in its equity derivatives sales group. Prior to that, he worked for the hedge fund Moore Capital Management and for Daiwa Securities in the United States and Japan.
