Singapore's DBS Bank has announced the appointment of Ho Yew Mun as managing director and head of equity capital markets (ECM) for its subsidiary outfit, DBS Asia Capital. Yew Mun, who will be based in Hong Kong, was promoted from within DBS, where he was also part of the ECM team in Singapore.

Prior to joining DBS, Yew Mun previously held the position of senior vice president and head of securities trading with the Singapore Exchange. In all, he has over 20 years experience in the financial sector.

"An experienced financier like Yew Mun will definitely help extend our ECM capabilities across the region," says Eric Ang, managing director and joint head of investment banking at DBS." Among Yew Mun's many achievements was that he successfully helped position Singapore as the choice pan-Asian market place during his service with the Singapore Exchange."
