CSFB bulks up Asian equities division

Edison Lee, Abraham Leu and Natalie Wan join NJA equity research.

Credit Suisse First Boston announced today the hiring of three new members for its Asian equities division.

Edison Lee has become a director and head of regional telecoms for Asia ex- Japan. Previously, Lee was employed as head of regional telecoms equity research for JPMorgan and before that, he held the same position with CLSA. In addition to Asian equity research, Lee worked as buy-side analyst for a fund-management boutique in Canada for five years.

Joining the Taipei office is Abraham Leu, who will also be a director. Leu joins CSFB's technology research division and will focus primarily on foundry stocks. Prior to CSFB, Leu was a senior analyst for the Taipei branch of HSBC Securities. He has also worked for Prudential Securities, SG Securities and Jardine Fleming Securities in Taiwan.

Natalie Wan has been appointed Hong Kong-based vice president, China research. Prior to crossing to CSFB, Wan worked with UBS as an analyst in the China equity research team in both Hong Kong and Singapore. She has also worked with China Resources.
