Insurance vet Peter Kong joins the firm in Hong Kong.
Peter Kong has joined Sun Life Financial in Hong Kong as vice president and head of group and pensions business there. The position has been newly created for him, and is designed to drive the growth and profitability of those business lines. He reports to Geoffrey Saggers, CEO.
Sun LifeÆs unit BestServe Financial, a pensions administration specialist, serves over 310,000 third-party customers in Hong Kong.
Kong has over 25 yearÆs experience with financial services companies in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Sun Life, he ran his own strategic consultancy, specialising in developing long-term business models for small- and medium-sized enterprises. Prior to that he served as vice president and marketing director at Citibank/Diners Club, as well as general manager at insurers Eagle Star and Bupa.
