Top executives from leading institutional investors joined AsianInvestor on June 26 at the Mandarin Oriental for its annual Malaysia Global Investment Forum in Kuala Lumpur, including Employees Provident Fund, Axa Affin Life Insurance, Prudential, CIMB and MUFG Bank.

The forum covered a wide range of topics, from understanding investor sentiment in the wake of the country's historic election results and the challenges of creating truly global multi-asset portfolios to the use of alternatives and how asset owners view investment based on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and sharia principles.

We also took the opportunity to honour two leading Malaysian investors who appeared on our list of the 20 outstanding pension executives in Asia earlier this year, namely Shahril Ridza Ridzuan, chief executive of Employees Provident Fund, and Wan Kamaruzaman Bin Wan Ahmad, CEO of Kwap, the civil service pension fund.

We present a gallery of photographs from the event.
