New country head for Franklin Templeton Investment

Franklin Templeton Investments has appointed Jed Plafker as country head for Hong Kong.

Plafker has a background in the development of mutual funds and the management and administration of the marketing, distribution and shareholder servicing activities of mutual fund organizations. In his new position he will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing activities of the Hong Kong business.

Plafker joined the company 1994. He relocated to Hong Kong a year ago to take up the position of chief legal counsel, Asia.

"I am very excited about the appointment as country head of Hong Kong. The mutual fund industry in Hong Kong still has a great potential to grow; more and more Hong Kong investors consider mutual funds as one of their major investment tools," he says.
