Macquarie hires regional structuring head

Equity derivatives veteran Jeremy Kloiser-Jones will join Macquarie Securities in Hong Kong on December 1.

Macquarie Securities, the equities broking arm of Australia's Macquarie Group, has appointed Jeremy Kloiser-Jones as Asia head of structuring and derivatives solutions in Hong Kong.

In this newly created role, he will help expand Macquarie's derivatives product offering to institutional and corporate clients in the Asia-Pacific region. Starting on December 1, he will report to Kieran Moffat, head of Macquarie Securities' Asia derivatives business

Kloiser-Jones has 13 years of industry experience in Asia, with the past decade spent focusing on equity derivatives. He was most recently managing director of equity derivatives in Asia for Banque AIG in Tokyo, where he focused on derivatives product hedging and funding solutions for institutional and corporate clients

Before that, he held a number of senior positions including head of derivatives sales at both J.P. Morgan and Lehman Brothers in Japan.

Kloiser-Jones's experience covers equity-linked investment products, equity portfolio hedging, equity-linked variable-annuity products, hedge fund trades, privately placed equity lines, convertible bonds and convertible preferred shares.
