JPMorgan appoints head of credit sales

Kelvin Wong joins from Deutsche.

JP Morgan has appointed Kelvin Wong as a managing director of its credit and rates business, and head of credit sales in Asia ex-Japan and ex-Australia.

In his new position, Wong will work alongside the investor client sales heads to support JP Morgan's integrated credit and rates product delivery to institutional investors in the Asian region. As head of credit sales, he will develop the bank's credit distribution franchise as well as structured credit solutions for clients.

Prior to joining JP Morgan, Wong led the structured credit business for Asia at Deutsche Bank, which he joined in 2001. He also spent seven years with Morgan Stanley in derivatives structuring and marketing and two years with JPMorgan in Tokyo and Singapore in the eary 1990's.

Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Guido Haller, head of sales, credit and rates markets for Asia.
