Fusa named MD at CSFB Japan

Having acquried the Japanese equities sales, research and trading business of Schroders, Credit Suisse First Boston is now setting up its investment banking division in Japan. The appointment of Koji Fusa as managing director and head of investment banking in Japan is one significant part of it. Fusa will report to Marcus Everard, head of investment banking for CSFB's Pacific Region. Fusa was formerly with UBS as head of Japanese private banking. Everard says: "This hire is testament to our commitment to Japan. He (Fusa) brings a wealth of experience in developing and executing both M&A and financing transactions, as well as a strong track record building business in Japan."
