Deutsche Bank hires new director of DB Capital

Deutsche Bank hires Shankar Narayanan to head its private equity group in Asia.

Deutsche Bank has named Shankar Narayanan, 38, director of its private banking unit in Asia. Narayanan joins DB Capital Partners (Asia) from The Chatterjee Group, an affiliate of Soros Fund Management, in Mumbai, India, where for the past year he headed up its private equity fund.

Before joining the Chatterjee Group, Narayanan spent six years as managing director and chief executive of Hathway Investments in India. He joined Hathway from Citibank.

DB Capital Partners (Asia) is part of DB Capital, a global private equity investor which has invested $2 billion 150 companies since 1997.
