Deutche Bank appoints new head of trade finance

Axel-Peter Ohse is named Global Head of International Trade Finance at Deutsche Bank.

Axel-Peter Ohse is to take up a new role as Global Head of International Trade Finance at Deutsche Bank. His appointment, effective 1 July 2000, is part of a restructuring of the bank's trade finance operations. The Global Trade Finance group now consists of International Trade Finance; Structured Export Finance, headed by Hans Herold; and Trade & Payment Services, led by Reinhard Uhi.

Ohse has been with Deutsche Bank for 25 years, and has worked in Korea, Malaysia and Japan. His most previous position was General Manager of Deutsche Bank AG, Tokyo Branch, and Head of the Bank's Global Banking Division in Japan.

As Global Head of International Trade Finance, Ohse will be responsible for the origination and trading of trade finance transactions. Ohse will report to Juergen Fitschen, who is the Head of the Bank's Global Banking Division.
