Chan bolsters insto sales at ING

ING Investment Management, an investment arm of ING Groep, has appointed Kelly Chan as regional business development manager in Hong Kong, where she will handle sales and marketing to institutional clients in Greater China.

She joins from New-Alliance Asset Management, where she was also responsible for institutional business development, as well as managing key institutional client relationships such as government institutes, publicly listed corporations and private family trusts. Prior to that, Chan also worked at Scudder, Stevens and Clark (now Zurich Scudder Investments) and, ironically, at Baring Asset Management, which is today a sibling in ING Groep.

She will report to Chuak Chan, regional business development director, also in Hong Kong. Her appointment follows other recent moves at ING Investment Management, including Tim Matson as the new director for Asian insurance portfolios, Chris Ryan as regional director for North Asia and Maria Reyes as regional credit manager.

ING Investment Management has over US$32 billion of assets under management in 10 countries throughout Asia-Pacific.
