ANZ builds its team in Hong Kong

ANZ Investment Bank appoints a new director of project and structured finance in Hong Kong.
ANZ Investment Bank announced Monday (May 21) that it has appointed Steven Lu as director, project and structured finance in Hong Kong.

Lu will focus on the North Asia region (ex-Japan), and will report to Vikas Batra, head of project and structured finance, Asia.

"StephenÆs appointment will enhance our delivery capability in the region and will contribute towards ANZÆs growth strategy for Asia," says Batra.

Lu joins ANZ after five years at Macquarie Bank in Hong Kong where he worked on both principal transactions in the transportation and energy sectors, as well as advising on the Beijing National Stadium project during its tender for an international investor.

Prior to Macquarie, he was vice president and head of the energy and transportation team at Commerzbank in Hong Kong. Lu also worked in HSBC Investment BankÆs Project & Export Finance Department in Hong Kong as advisor on projects in the energy, transportation and telecommunication sectors in North Asia for nearly seven years.
