ABN Amro appoints new head of private banking

The bank promotes Urs Brutsch from regional head to managing director of Asian private banking business.

ABN AMRO has announced the appointment of Urs Brutsch as the bank's managing director of private banking for the Asia Pacific region with immediate effect. Brutsch, who is based in Singapore, joined ABN AMRO as regional head of private banking in 1999 and has helped the bank become one of the leading players in targeted markets in the global private clients and asset management business.

Prior to joining ABN AMRO, Brutsch was head of private banking for South East Asia with Credit Suisse First Boston.
