Roger Ho and Jiang Ren have joined the Hong Kong practice of Jones Day as associates, in a move described by the law firm as enhancing its cross-border capital markets and M&A practices in the Greater China region.

Ho takes on the roll of senior associate of the Hong Kong corporate finance practice and brings fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese to Jones Day. He leaves the Hong Kong offices of White & Case where he was a senior associate focusing on initial public offerings (IPOs), M&A and general corporate and commercial transactions.

Before starting with White & Case, Ho was employed by Richards Butler in Hong Kong.

Bringing Shanghai-based and governmental experience with her to the firm, Ren arrives at Jones Day as a senior China affairs officer, with a primary seat in its energy practice. She joins from Simmons & Simmons, where her practice focused on major projects and infrastructure-related foreign direct investment in positions in both Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Prior positions have also included a role in the German offices of Clifford Chance and before moving into the public space, posts in the department of treaties and law of the ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation, better known today as the ministry of commerce, in Beijing.
