Three join ING

ING further boosts research with new hires.

ING Financial Markets has announced three new appointments to its equities research operation in Asia. Rohan Dalziell assumes the role of director and head of Asian utilities research in Hong Kong; Simon Francis will be the new head of basic materials research - also based in the SAR, while in Thailand Marc Lavoie takes on the position of vice president covering the banking and property sectors.

Dalziell joins ING from ABN AMRO, where he held the role of regional utilities analyst since 1997. For the four years prior to joining ABN, Dalziell covered Hong Kong utilities at Baring Securities.

Francis has spent the past five years working as head of Asian building materials and construction research for CSFB. Prior to that, he worked in Indonesia, specializing in the industrial materials sector for Nomura and BZW.

Both Francis and Dalziell will be working under ING's head of research for Asia, Adrian Faure.

Lavoie most recently spent three years as head of research for Asset Plus Securities, with responsibility for the banking and building materials sectors. He will report to Kenneth Ng, ING's head of Thailand research.
