Sohn joins UBS Warburg

UBS Warburg boosts its telecom research with the hire of Bill Sohn.

Bill Sohn has left Merrill Lynch to join UBS Warburg as head of north Asian telecom research. This new position will involve coverage of telecom companies primarily in Korea and Taiwan. Sohn will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Dylan Tinker, regional head of telecom research and Uberto Ferrari, global sector co-ordinator of telecom research at the bank.

Sohn worked at Merrill Lynch in Korea for the last three years in the telecom team. Prior to that he was an equity analyst at Clariant Securities in Seoul and Schroders Securities in Seoul.
