Richdale quits JP Morgan

Kate Richdale has resigned from JP Morgan in Hong Kong in order to take up a position at rival Morgan Stanley.

Kate Richdale has resigned from her position in the debt capital markets origination group at JP Morgan in Hong Kong in order to take up a similar role at rival firm Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Richdale, who specialises in originating bonds from the Philippines, Hong Kong and China, left JP on friday and is not likely to start at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter until July. At Morgan Stanley she will cover similar areas and will report to Michael Dee - head of investment grade debt capital markets at the firm.

Richdale is well known for her stamina, being the star member of the JP Morgan team that completed the Maclehose Trail - the annual overnight trek through Hong Kong's country parks. Indeed last year she carried Marc Jones - her former boss at JP Morgan - over the finish line as he was too injured to carry on. Folk at Morgan Stanley are hoping for similar heroics when she moves across Exchange Square later this summer.
