Reynolds to relocate

Doug Reynolds, CSFB''s top energy banker is moving to London.

Doug Reynolds, the head of the energy investment banking team at CSFB in Hong Kong is to relocate with CSFB to London. There he will run the European energy team, covering the oil and gas and power sectors.

He will be replaced by two bankers whom CSFB is sending out from New York. Steve Cheng will move to Hong Kong to run the regional power team. Jeff Hamilton will move from New York to Singapore to run the oil and gas team. Both are directors at CSFB and have been with the firm for between five and ten years. In order to get better acquainted with the banking landscape in Asia, Cheng has been intimately involved in the recent COSL IPO which CSFB ran with Merrill Lynch.

For Reynolds, he is leaving with the satisfaction that he has built up one of the strongest energy franchises in the region. His recent successes include the bond deal for PT Medco Energi, equity deals for CNOOC, PTTE&P and SK Corp and M&A deals across the region. Reynolds moved to CSFB in 1998 from Salomon Smith Barney. He has been in Hong Kong since 1994. He officially starts his new job in London on January 1st.
