OOIL appoints HSBC shipping finance chief as next CFO

Orient Overseas (International) Ltd has appointed a new CFO to succeed Harry Wilkinson.

Nick Sims, the former managing director of Wayfoong Shipping Services, HSBC's ship finance arm, has been appointed the next chief financial officer of Orient Overseas (International) Ltd (OOIL). He will take over from Harry Wilkinson who retires at the end of October.

Hong Kong-listed OOIL is involved in container transportation and the company is controlled by the Tung family, of which Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-Hwa is a member.

"We are very pleased to have Nick Sims join our management team. His financial management background and shipping expertise will be valuable as we plan our future growth and development," says CC Tung, chairman and chief executive of OOIL.
