New managing director for SG Asia

SG has appointed a new managing director, capital markets, SG Asia

SG has appointed Francis Hoe as managing director, capital markets, SG Asia, to be based in Singapore. Hoe moves from another position at SG Asia where he was heading up a team responsible for marketing and development of private banking products for Singapore and Malaysia.

Before joining SG, Hoe was responsible for providing investment advisory services on fixed income securities, foreign exchange and regional equities at ABN Amro. He has also held key positions with Schroders, Sherson Lehman Brothers and Dean Witter Reynolds.

In his new position at SG, Hoe will be responsible for the business development of SG Asia capital markets activities in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Commenting on Hoe's appointment, SG's chief executive officer for debt and finance activities in Asia says: "This appointment is especially key now that SG has announced that it will combine its fixed income and treasury and financing businesses globally. This move will allow the integration of the entire production chain from origination and structuring to distribution, trading and research, and position SG among the world's major players in the debt and treasury activities. We intend to capitalize on this powerful global debt finance platform in Singapore and in Asia."
