HONG KONG, June 27 2000/PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ - NetValue, the leader in Internet usage measurement in Europe and the US, has appointed Darlene Lee as Asia President and CEO to expand its services to the region.  The company aims to set up Internet research business in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Korea before the end of the year.

Announcing the appointment, NetValue's Chairman for Asia Herve Le Jouan said, "NetValue has already established itself in Europe and the US as the leader in Internet usage behaviour measurement.  Our clients include leading portals, multi-national businesses, software companies, Internet players and the media industry, and we are confident of the scope for expansion on a truly global basis," said Mr Le Jouan.

NetValue provides a unique approach to measuring consumer behaviour on the Internet.  The company's global mission is to provide its corporate clientele with strategic, measurement-based insight about the reciprocal impact consumers and corporations are having on each other in the e-business environment.
The service fulfils an urgent need in many markets where businesses continuously invest in the Internet with little or no accurate, accountable market information.

"We are very excited about opportunities in Asia where Internet usage continues to grow at a phenomenal rate,"said Fabrice Jacob, Board Director from JV partners, Yu Ming Investments. "NetValue is confident that its superior technology and global research experience will provide clients in Asia with highly reliable data about consumer behaviour on the Internet in a very user-friendly manner," Mr Jacob said.

Prior to NetValue, Ms Lee was with global marketing research firm Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) for more than eight years.  Her immediate past position was TNS Greater China Customised Group Director.  During her successful career at TNS, she made the Taiwan office one of the most profitable in the region as Managing Director while launching the Consumer Panel division in that market.

Born in Taiwan and educated in the US, Ms Lee brings to NetValue years of experience in research, marketing, management and strategic planning in a multi-cultural, international environment.  She is a graduate of Cornell University and is currently based in Hong Kong.
