Lovells lands Begley

Former Norton Rose associate to bolster Singapore projects and energy practice.

Stephen Begley has been appointed to Lovells Lee & Lee, a joint venture between the international firm and the prestigious Singapore practice, as a senior associate in its project and energy practice. Upon joining the firm, Begley reports to James Harris, managing partner of Lovells Singapore.

He makes the cross town move from Norton Rose, where he was an associate/senior associate in the projects and energy finance practice. During his five-and-a-half years in Singapore, Begley has advised clients on energy related transactions at the upstream, downstream and regulatory levels. He also specializes in project and general finance transactions within the region, advising both sponsors and lenders.

Specifically, Begley has advised clients on the proposed gas market liberalisation in Singapore since de-regulation plans were announced by the government in March 2000.
