John Pinkel joins SSB

Salomon Smith Barney Asia Pacific has appointed John Pinkel managing director and head of equities, based in Taiwan. He will be responsible for developing and managing the firm's equities sales, trading and execution activities.áPinkel was most recently a partner ináa private equity firm based in Hong Kong, andáprior to that, witháMerrill Lynch and ABN Amro HG Asia.
