Brought in from Paris to drive the bank''s structured trade finance business in Asia-Pacific.

HSBC has relocated Bruno Lechevalier to Hong Kong to take on the role of head of structured trade finance Asia-Pacific. Lechevalier moves into a newly created role, taking on responsibility for driving the development of structured trade finance (STF) across the region.

He moves over from HSBC CCF, the group's French business, where he has spent the past five years with its structured trade finance. Lechevalier was the team's Paris-based deputy head and was involved in a number of high profile European STF transactions.

Before this post, Lechevalier assumed responsibility for CCF's Sub-Saharan African business, where he was a relationship manager.

He will report to Alistair Currie, HSBC's head of trade services Asia-Pacific and also to Jean-Francois Lambert, global head of structured trade finance.
