Goldman poaches Lo to build leverage business

Nelson Lo takes on a newly created role in Hong Kong as head of loan syndication.
Goldman Sachs has signalled its intentions to build its Asian loan business, bringing in Nelson Lo to the firm in a newly created role in its financing group. Upon arriving at the US bank, Lo will answer to the title of executive director in the financing group and head of loan syndication, Asia ex-Japan.

From GoldmanÆs Hong Kong offices, Lo will report to Harvey Lee, managing director, head of debt capital markets, Asia ex-Japan. Prior to starting at Goldman, Lo was a senior vice president in syndicated finance at DBS. In total, he brings over 10 years of loan market experience to Goldman.

According to Goldman, LoÆs appointment comes as it may seek more candidates for its loan syndication team and its leverage finance business as a whole.
