Fitch names new Asia executive

Ben McCarthy, director of structured finance in Australia at ratings agency Fitch, will move to Hong Kong to become head of Asia-Pacific structured finance. Reporting to McCarthy in Hong Kong will be Sunny Park, associate director. McCarthy is expected to take up his duties in Hong Kong in early October.

Natasha Vojvodic, an associate director in Fitch’s Sydney office, will assume McCarthy’s asset-backed commercial paper responsibilities. Fitch currently rates six commercial paper conduits in Australia and 165 worldwide.

In late 2001 an analyst from Fitch’s European structured finance group is expected to join the Sydney structured finance team.
