Deutsche appoints new FIG head

William Nichol joins from Lehman.

William Nichol has taken the position of head of the Asian financial institutions group (FIG) at Deutsche Bank. Nichol joins from Lehman Brothers where he was head of FIG for China and Southeast Asia.

Nichol will still be based in Hong Kong where he has spent the last nine years. He will report to Philipp Crotty who runs Deutsche's corporate finance team in the region and Greg Sando, who runs Deutsche's global FIG business.

Nichol replaces Stuart Take who resigned from Deutsche in May this year to return to his family in the US. Nichol's role at Deutsche will mainly be origination focused.
