Zimmerman joins Freshfields

The US-trained securities lawyer leaves CSFB for Freshfields.

Josh Zimmerman, widely known as one of the brightest young US securities lawyers working in Asia, has left CSFB to join Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, the international law firm. At CSFB he was an in-house counsel, specialising in US securities and M&A work.

At Freshfields he will work closely with partner Joe Sevack, another US qualified securities lawyer with whom Zimmerman previously worked at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, the New York law firm. It is understood that he will concentrate on US securities law at Freshfields, a practice the UK based firm is keen to expand.

Zimmerman starts at Freshfields in November and is at present thought to be in the Seychelles.
