Wurfbain analyst joins Eureka
Matthew Schmidt, investment analyst at hedge fund Wurfbain Management in Hong Kong, has joined Eureka Hedge Advisors.
Eureka, which is based in Singapore, provides directory and other information and marketing services to hedge funds, including helping prospective managers establish their own funds.
Schmidt's role will be to consult clients in Europe about the hedge fund scene in Asia, as well as work on developing a catalogue of global funds of hedge funds, which he says will be the first such directory available.
Schmidt joins John Hetherington in the Hong Kong office. At Wurfbain, he covered Asian and Japanese hedge funds for Asian Capital Holdings, a pan-Asia fund of funds sponsored by LCF Rothschild and Fortis Bank. Previously he was a journalist at the Asian Wall Street Journal.
