Systems Union promotes Hong Kong management

Systems Union, a global provider of e-business and financial management systems, has announced the promotions of Jeannie Chiu to general manager of the Hong Kong operations, and Loretta Cho to finance director, Asia Pacific.

Jeannie ChiuIn  her  new  capacity, Chiu (pictured right) will manage the 40 staff based in Hong Kong as well as managing strategic developments in China, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, Korea and  Sri Lanka. China in particular, forms a major part of Systems Union strategy as the world prepares for the country's expected entry into the WTO.

Chiu joined Systems Union in 1993 as corporate account manager and quickly rose up the ranks to become  director  of  business development in 1997. Prior  to  Systems  Union, Chiu worked for PowerLan, ACA Pacific Technology and  Dynastics  Solutions. She  holds  a degree in Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Loretta ChoLoretta Cho (pictured left), as new finance director, Asia Pacific, will manage the cost control across all offices  in the region. She  will bring real time data to both financial  and non-financial  users  within  Asia  Pacific. 

"In  order to push for greater adoption of e-business solutions in the Asia Pacific  region,  especially in China where the world awaits her entry into the  WTO  this year, we require strategic leaders who can leverage industry expertise  and  experience  with local markets to help achieve our business goals,"  says Ashley  Clarke, CEO, Systems Union, Asia Pacific. "Both Chiu and  Cho  are the obvious persons of choice for this demanding role as they have  proven  their  capabilities  and  we  are  eager to see them escalate Systems Union's leadership in Asia Pacific."

Systems  Union currently operates six offices throughout Asia Pacific, with more  than 6600 customers throughout the region. The regional headquarters was established in Hong Kong in 1992.
