Singaporean joint law venture appoints senior associate

Allen & Overy''s Melissa Faye joins the firm''s JLV with Shook Lin & Bok.

The joint law venture (JLV) between Allen & Overy and Shook Lin & Bok in Singapore has announced the relocation of senior banking and projects associate Melissa Faye to Singapore from London with immediate effect.

She joins the JLV's banking and projects team and the Asian business restructuring group, led by partners Chris Rushton, John Richards, Andrew Trahair and Sarjit Singh Gill.

Faye has been with Allen & Overy in London since 1997, following a previous stint with Australian law firm Minter Ellison. Her areas of expertise include domestic and international syndicated financings for a wide variety of banks and borrowers; acquisition financing in both public and private sectors and structured finance.

"Melissa is a considerable asset to the JLV banking team having worked on some of the largest financings internationally out of London over the last few years," comments Chris Rushton, regional managing partner of Allen & Overy.
