Simon Hayes joins Global Sage

The hire boosts the firm''s global investment banking service.

International executive search consultancy Global Sage has announced that Simon Hayes is to join the firm as a senior consultant in the firm's London office. Readers with a long-ish memory will remember Hayes from his time in the Asian equity markets. Having started his career with James Capel in the UK in the early 1990s he then moved to Japan as Head of Research for SG Warburg. He then moved to Salomon Brothers before joining UBS as head of Asia Pacific Equities in 1996, based in Hong Kong.

Having moved back to the UK he now joins Global Sage with a global role focusing on the equity markets and investment banking. His primary regional lookout will be Europe.

"We are the only executive search firm to expand our team while times are bad," said John Wright, Managing Partner of Global Sage in Hong Kong. "The addition of Simon Hayes just strengthens our already high quality product."
