AsianInvestor hosted its 6th Insurance Investment Forum in Hong Kong on March 12 and its first in Singapore on March 14.

Representatives from some of the region's biggest and upcoming insurers attended the events to offer their views on the challeges and opportunities they face today. 

BNP Paribas Cardif, HSBC Life and Prudential were among the insurers that shed light on their investment focus and hiring plans, among other topics, at our event in Hong Kong.

In our inaugural Insurance Investment Forum in Singapore, chief investment officers from Axa, Asia Capital Re and IndiaFirst Life joined in to discuss outsourcing challenges amid the growing demand for external specialist expertise.

Another panel discussion focused on using derivatives to help insurers manage credit and currency risks, and the need to promote more awareness and expertise in this area.
