AsianInvestor reported on Wednesday that Sandra Cheng was on gardening leave from her role as Southeast Asia head of institutional business at Columbia Threadneedle and was set to join rival asset manager Invesco in Singapore.

However, a spokeswoman for Columbia Threadneedle told AsianInvestor on Wednesday morning that Cheng is still an employee, and has not resigned.

Columbia Threadneedle did not initially respond to an emailed request for comment, sent on Tuesday at 6:07pm Hong Kong time, to a spokesperson based in Singapore and another based in London.

Invesco had on Tuesday declined to confirm or comment on whether it had made the hire.
