Commerce One names new Asia VP

Dan Currie to heat up business development in the region.

Dan Currie, who previously served e-marketplace company Commerce One as vice president of global sales support, has moved into a business development role for the company's Asia Pacific region.

In his new role Currie will be responsible for developing the company's regional partner relationships that include global as well as local strategic partners. He brings extensive experience in customer support and engineering, as well as deep relationships with core partners across the region. These partnerships will be key to Commerce One's growth in Asia as the company expands both its direction and channel sales efforts. Based in Singapore, Currie will report directly to Neil Hudspith, sneior vice president and general manager, Commerce One, Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Commerce One, Currie held senior engineering and pre-sales roles with SAP America, SAP Asia and Sun Microsystems.
