Chang crosses to ABN

Former JPMorgan VP becomes the fourth ABN China scalp in the past six months.

ABN AMRO has again upped its on-the-ground coverage for its corporate client base in China, announcing the appointment of Timothy Chang. Chang moves to the Dutch group as an executive director for global client coverage in the bank's wholesale clients corporate and investment banking business.

Based out of Beijing, Chang will report to Catherine Cai Hongjun, managing director and head of global clients for China.

He takes on the ABN AMRO role after leaving JPMorgan where he was a vice president in its Beijing offices and helped develop its investment banking business in China.

Upon signing for ABN, Chang becomes the fourth senior hire to its Chinese corporate and investment banking team in the past six months. In September Cai made the transition for JPMorgan to lead the Dutch group's China team.

Cai's move to ABN preceded the arrival of former Bank Of China International investment banker Li Tian in November to lead its financial institutions coverage team in China and the December appointment of Kenneth Tseung, who crossed from BNP Paribas Peregrine Capital to become the team's relationship banker for global clients.
