Photos: 9th SE Asia Institutional Investment Forum

Representatives from leading international institutional investors including Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund, Australia's Future Fund and the Third Swedish National Pension Fund were among a host of insightful speakers for the 9th Southeast Asia Institutional Investment Forum.

The annual AsianInvestor event, which took place on December 6 and 7 at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia in Singapore, brought together a who's who of sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance firms, private banks and family offices for high-level discussions on key investment issues.

Participants debated how high valuations in global equity and bond markets were leading to caution among allocators at state pension funds and family offices. It also heard of plans by Japan Post Bank to vastly increase its allocation to alternatives.
