Lehman picks up Leung

Departs Macquarie Securities for a newly created position.

Effective immediately, Jenkin Leung will mosey over to Lehman Brothers as managing director and head of Hong Kong and China equity sales. In the newly created position in Hong Kong, Leung will report to Bill McGrath, the firm's Hong Kong-based head of Asia equity research and sales.

As Lehman's head of Hong Kong and China equity sales, Leung's duties will include overseeing equity sales in these two markets. He will also take on the added responsibility for all of the investment bank's Hong Kong-based equity sales teams.

Leung crosses to Lehman from the Hong Kong operations of Macquarie Securities Limited. Relevant to his new position, Leung was the head of Hong Kong and China sales and product for the Australian group. In his pre-Macquarie Securities career, he was also employed by CLSA. Beginning his CLSA tenure in an institutional sales position in London covering Asia ex-Japan, Leung then relocated to Asia as head of Hong Kong and China sales where he serviced institutional investors in the SAR, Singapore and the UK.
