KPMG Hong Kong appoints ten new principals and one partner

KPMG ramps up its staffing numbers in Hong Kong, in anticipation of busy times ahead.

KPMG has appointed ten new principals, and one new partner to its Hong Kong practice.

Bonn Liu will be providing assurance and related advisory services to clients in the securities industry. Liu's background is in conducting due diligence reviews, regulatory investigations and assisting clients with their securities operations in Hong Kong.

Chris Ho has joined the corporate tax practice of KPMG, and will be providing advice in various industries, in particular banking and finance, manufacturing and trading, and property and construction.

Warren Phillips joins the Transactions Services division with over ten years' experience in business valuations, corporate strategies advice and due diligence investigations. Phillips will be providing advice in relation to corporate transactions.

Darren Bowdern joins the corporate tax practice with over seven years' experience. Bowdern specializes in the securities, fund management and financial services industries.

Joan Ho, a Chartered Financial Analyst, specializes in the financial services sector and previously worked with many international banks in Hong Kong, People's Republic of China (PRC) and Canada.

Peter Fung joins KPMG as a specialist in PRC company IPOs and due diligence reviews. Fung has considerable experience in the oil and gas and container terminal industry.

Ross Wrigley leads the insurance unit at KPMG Consulting Limited in Hong Kong. Wrigley has more than 15 years of consulting experience, specializing in business process improvement and supply chain management.

Terry Chu has been involved in a substantial amount of PRC related work, particularly in auditing PRC companies. Chu also specializes in the power industry.

Vaughn Barber will be providing due diligence and tax advice on structured finance transactions. Barber specializes in the telecommunications industry.

Melissa Wu will join the corporate finance division, specializing in PRC business. Wu has extensive experience in providing assurance and related services to listed companies.

Shirley Wong joins the KPMG partnership, with extensive experience in providing assurance and related services to listed and major private companies. Wong specializes in the airline, shipping and manufacturing sectors.
